I’m a recently retired library cataloger and a self-proclaimed bibliophile, who’s addiction to books is common knowledge and sometimes seems to take over my life. I also love watching television, especially British television. It all started when my Dad and I used to watch programs like “Danger UXB”, “Eastenders” and “All Creatures Great and Small”, on our local PBS station.
By writing a blog I hope to justify, if only to myself, the disproportionally large amount of time I spend reading and watching tv!
I love books also … and All Creatures. (So quotable!) I’m not sure reading, even disproportionately large amounts, needs justification…. or at least, I tell myself it doesn’t.
Thanks for stopping by! Your blog’s title is one of the best I’ve ever seen
Hi,
I have named you for the Inspiring Blog Award. I loved your post on Joan Crawford. Please look at my post for the rules.
Bettye
Thanks so much Bettye! You’ve made my day, actually my week
Loved Eastenders! Would kind of like to work in a library or bookstore but I’m teaching EFL at the moment in France. Who knows, maybe I’ll get a job working in WH Smith in Paris. That’s what I’d love to change to.
I too would love to go back to work in a bookshop! I hope your dream comes true. I would just love to see Paris!
I feel more and more everyday that it’s going to happen. I’ve been stuck at home for the past 4 monte with a torn Achilles tendon. It was hard but gave me the time to reflect on lots of things and to find writing as well as throw myself into reading. Things happen for a reason.
